Melissa is a lifelong Oregonian with a passion for volunteerism and community engagement. Currently, Melissa is a senior accounting student at Portland State University, as well as a Ford Scholar.
Prior to joining the ALF Oregon team, Melissa has served as President of the Beta Pi Rho chapter of Phi Theta Kappa, President of the Passion Impact Volunteer Club, Associate Presidential Executive Intern for Portland Community College's district President, Portland Community College Foundation Student Ambassador, and as a Peer Advisor for the Portland Community College Career Center and Orientation Center. Her love for volunteering earned her the Gold Level Service Recognition Award from the PSU Student Community Engagement Center in 2019, with over 250 hours of service with organizations such as the Oregon Food Bank, Meals on Wheels, Potluck in the Park, Free Geek, Our House of Portland, and many others.
In her free time Melissa enjoys mountain biking, gardening and playing with her two cats.
