Fellows are chosen based on their demonstrated leadership ability and potential, professional stature, influence in the state, integrity, commitment, creativity, and initiative. To the extent possible, each class of 20 - 25 Fellows reflects the many diverse elements in the state.
All Senior Fellows can nominate potential fellows.
Each class commences with a full day orientation session in July, followed by a week long community building program in August. Scheduled monthly seminars will be held September through May. These seminars will occur on a Thursday evening & Friday OR Sunday evening & Monday depending on which cohort is selected. Your travel time on the first day will depend on the distance between where you live, and where we are convening.
The total tuition is $10,000. Travel to monthly session sites, as well as accommodations while there, are also the responsibility of each participant. If tuition is a potential barrier for you, please contact Lisa Watson, Executive Director, at (503) 636-2288
Nominees will be notified in April regarding the status of their application.
The next classes (XLI & XLII) begin in July 2022.
