Our Day in Wallowa

ALF Oregon's Class 43 and Class 44 will be in the La Grande area on April 20th. For Senior Fellow Saturday, we'll drive east to join ALF Oregon Fellows for a visit to Nez Perce Wallowa Homeland. We'll start at the Visitor Center with our host and then take a short drive to visit the homeland. Feel free to bring a sack lunch or picnic items for our time at the homeland. ALF Oregon will provide cold drinks and picnic blankets.

About Nez Perce Wallowa Homeland
Open sunrise to sunset every day of the year, this 320 acre piece of the Nez Perce Wallowa Homeland is a beautiful spot to explore. The site includes lush Wallowa River frontage and bottomland, rim rock bluffs, and grassy uplands - with spectacular views of the mountains and traditional Nez Perce summer camping and grazing areas.

Their mission is to deepen the connection between the wal’áwa country and all those who care about it. Nez Perce Wallowa Homeland inspires a way of working together as wé·tesne qicxnew̓é·t (caretakers of the earth) to rekindle relationships and welcome people home.
